I applied in April 2017. Initially started with an email from the internal recruiter asking me to complete a test online following which we would arrange a telephone chat - I got this email in June. Completed the telephone chat and had a telephone interview arranged with a Director in Marketing. Passed this and got a phone call within 2 hours stating they wanted to call me in for a face to face. This was done in 2 parts; A further telephone interview with a Senior Manager and a series of face to face interviews and a group presentation. I was given a week to prepare for the presentation. I prepared and went for the interview which I feel went reasonably well - I have no way of telling for sure as it's been over 2 months since that interview and I have had no feedback or communication at all from them. I find this rather unprofessional. I can understand large companies having long hiring processes but what I cannot comprehend is the lack of communication for over 2 months after investing 5 hours of my time in interviews and a further 7 hours preparing a presentation.

So, we had 3 rounds in total. The first one was purely technical, where they asked me to write 3 SQL queries and 2 Python codes. The second round was more of a discussion about my previous experiences and my responsibilities, basically seeing if I'd be a good fit. The third round involved a dataset analysis using Tableau. They gave me the dataset two days before the interview, and I had to analyze it and create a Tableau dashboard.

The hiring process was really clear and organized. After my first phone chat, I had a 3-hour interview set up for the next week, which was pretty quick. I met with my future manager, a director, and someone I'd be working with a lot from another team for an hour each. It was great because I could ask them what I needed to know, and by the time I started, I already knew three people I now work with every day.

  • I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 100. You have 3 guesses. Go.
  • Okay, let's do that again, but this time, if you guess it on the first try, you get £100, second try £50, and third try £25. Nothing if you don't get it. Go.
