I had an initial phone interview which was then followed by a more detailed technical interview. The interviewer was very professional. While I didn't get an offer, the recruiter Renee Rivera really sets a high standard for recruiters. Before they decided to move forward with other candidates, which was unfortunate because I felt I was a good fit, she personally emailed and possibly called me to let me know their decision. That level of professionalism is a benchmark compared to other recruiters who just send an automated email saying you weren't selected after you've invested time researching and interviewing with them. That personal email or call before the generic rejection says a lot about their professionalism.

Had 2 technical rounds and one managerial round. First round was about basic manual testing questions. 2nd round was good, again basic manual concepts were covered. Last round was with the director, who explained about the work and company vision, and it was just a general talk. Last round was HR round, where it was about salary and other discussions.

I found out about the job through the temp agency I was using. I didn't actually have an interview because the company worked directly with the agency. Exostar took about three weeks to get the background check going, and then another week for the results to come back. I got the offer mid-week and started as a contractor the following Monday.
