Communications Specialist
I applied online and heard back pretty quickly to set up a phone screen with HR. I scheduled it, but didn't get a confirmation, which was weird. The recruiter started off by trashing the last person in the role, which was super unprofessional. Then, they asked me about my other job applications and where I was in those processes. They also questioned why I even applied since it might be a 'step down' from my last job, even though I obviously liked the role description enough to apply. The recruiter didn't even know what the next steps were or how many interviews there would be. To top it off, they asked for my portfolio after the interview, which was already on my resume and LinkedIn, so it felt like they hadn't really looked at my application closely.

Training Specialist
So, the interview was like, 3 rounds total. First, a recruiter call, then two presentation things. One presentation was online, the other was in person at their office. They ended up picking someone internal, so it felt like a big waste of my time, honestly. The recruiter even called me like 30 mins before I was supposed to leave for the office, asking if I sent my presentation. I had sent it a week ago, so clearly, they weren't talking to each other. Then I get to the office, and another recruiter tells me my presentation wasn't even following the prompt, and I couldn't change anything. It was super disappointing how unorganized and unprofessional it all was.
- How do you feel about being part of this 'family'?
Instructional Designer
The entire process took about 3 weeks from start to finish. It was three rounds total. The recruiter was helpful after the first stage. The second interview was with the Director of ID and two senior Instructional Designers to assess collaboration, culture fit, motivations, and general ID knowledge. The final interview involved developing a deliverable and presenting design rationale to a panel including the Manager of Facilitators, Director of Instructional Design, Trainers, SVP of Talent Development, and the rest of the ID Team.
- Can you tell me about a book you read that you didn't like?
Collector
I was referred by a friend and got a call two days later. Then a personal interview happened two days after that. It was a speedy process. The recruiter was very friendly and explained the role, hours, and pay in detail. I've worked in collections for 15 years, but I felt like my experience might not be enough. The location is close to my home, so I'm waiting for a call back. I like the hourly pay for the position and hope they call.
