Market Intelligence Analyst
Had a call with HR, then a virtual interview with HR. After that, they scheduled an in-person interview with HR and the work team. Lots of interviews and calls, but the bad thing is they were unpunctual, which is unprofessional of them, a red flag.
- Can you tell me about your work experience?
- What are your reasons for applying for this position?
- What is your future outlook?
Intern
So, for the whole process, there were at least 4 rounds. It included an aptitude test, then another test, followed by an HR round and a technical round. After all that, the final round was conducted virtually. The issue was that the interviewer was in a cab with really bad network, so we couldn't hear them clearly, and they also had trouble hearing us.
- Can you explain the distinction between primary and secondary research?
HR Generalist
The first interview was about 1.5 hours at the home office, and I spoke with the HR Director, the hiring manager. We discussed systems, procedures, and my experience with HR Competencies. It was more of a conversation than an interview, and the questions were straightforward. The second interview lasted about 1-1.5 hours and included the CEO, the HR Director/hiring manager, and the HR Coordinator, whose role I would be taking over. This was really helpful because I got to talk to the CEO about the company's direction and my potential impact. I also learned about the daily tasks from the person currently doing the job.
- Can you tell me about a process improvement you suggested and put into practice, and what the outcome was?
Sales Representative
After initially being informed I was moving forward, I then received a rejection letter. However, on Sunday, an email arrived proposing a Zoom meeting. I selected a date and time, and subsequently got confirmation that the interviewer would send an invite. I received and scheduled this invite. Shortly after, the recruiter sent another email explaining a mix-up and that I was no longer being considered, canceling the meeting. This was a completely unprofessional experience, especially given my strong track record and current job search situation due to downsizing. It's unacceptable to play with people's emotions in this manner.
