First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Exelixis.
Research Scientist
The interview had 3 steps. First was a call with the recruiter for a normal screening. The second part was with the direct manager you'd be working with. The third was a combination of an individual interview with peers of the team and the director of the lab. This was all through zoom.
- How do you handle conflict?
- How do you handle having too much workload?
Research Scientist
It was a pretty standard interview process. First, I met with the hiring manager and an HR rep. Then, I moved on to the next round, which involved a series of one-on-one meetings with different team members (of various levels), and I also had to do a virtual presentation with a Q&A session.
- Can you explain how your previous experience aligns with the requirements of this role?
Research Scientist
Started with a phone interview, then went on-site to meet with the department group and the director. Also toured the lab and discussed the position and duties. HR also interviewed me about benefits and salary expectations.
- Can you tell me about your short-term goals?
- What about your long-term goals?
