So I got this interview invite for a marketing assistant role, and it was in Massapequa, NY, which is pretty much Long Island. I had an early morning slot, so I headed out way before dawn. When I arrived, I checked in at the front desk, where they had me fill out some paperwork and hand over a printed copy of my resume along with a list of my professional references. After that, I had my first interview with Jonathan, which lasted about an hour. Then, I sat down with the CEO, Jocelyn, who was super nice and asked me more questions. The whole thing took around two hours. They told me they'd call me to let me know if I got the job.

So for my first interview, I went into the office and everyone was super nice. I met with one person and it went pretty good overall. They asked me to come back to meet the CEO, and I said I'd call when I got home from school. After I left that day, the receptionist called me and asked why I didn't show up for the interview. I told her I did and who I met with, and she then argued that I never showed up. This happened about 30 minutes after I left the office.

Got to the lobby and sat down. Had to fill out some questions before the interview started. (Like, what do you like about this company, do you have any questions for us). They also gave me a sheet with info about the company and the job, plus an interview rubric for the interviewer, which was pretty useful to see. Then I had interviews with one person each, for about 15-20 min. The guy was really nice. They also had me fill out some paperwork.

The interview experience was alright, though it felt like they were very deliberately trying to sell the job to me. The interviewers were quite energetic and came across as genuinely likable and good people. Their expertise in their field was evident, which sparked my interest in learning more.
