I found the job posting online and applied. HR reached out to me to set up an interview, giving me several time options. The interview itself was done over Zoom. It was a panel interview, and they took turns asking me questions.

Standard interview process, was to the point, nothing out of the ordinary. Just be prepared and ready. Super nice and easy going. It was not stressful. The questions were what you would expect.

Scheduling was a bit of a hassle. First, there was a 30-minute intro call with HR, then a 30-minute chat with the associate Dean and undergrad Chair. They said I'd hear back in a week, but it's been almost two months and they haven't even started the second round of interviews. The Associate Dean mentioned this place is 'meeting heavy,' which makes me think they don't actually get much done. If you do get to the second interview, it's a 15-minute presentation to a panel followed by a Q&A. After that, there's a 30-minute interview with the Dean. At this pace, the whole thing might take over five months.

Behavioral Presentation

I applied online and about 3 weeks later, I got a phone call to set up an in-person interview. The first interview was in person with some of the staff. They asked pretty basic questions. They gave me a tour of the office and introduced me to other staff members. I felt really good about it afterwards. A few days later, they wanted me to come back for a second interview to meet the current receptionist. That interview was alright. They asked me the same questions as before about my skills and professionalism. They showed me around the office again. The receptionist told me HR would call me with their decision within a week and that I shouldn't call the office. I waited a week, but no call or email. I had to call HR myself to ask about the position. The HR person said they had filled the position the day before. I asked if they would send out any notification, and she said no because it was a temporary position. It was very disappointing and unprofessional.
