First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Excelligence Learning Corporation.
IT Help Desk
The interview process at Excelligence was super quick! I applied late one night and heard back from a recruiter the next morning. We scheduled a call for that afternoon. The following day, I interviewed with a few IT managers, and then got an offer soon after. It was a really straightforward process, which was nice.
- Could you tell me about your IT-related experience?
- What are your available working hours for this role?
- Are there any scheduling conflicts I should be aware of?
Graphic Designer
So first I had a phone screening to chat about the job and make sure it was a good fit for both of us. Then I had a 1-on-1 with the Art Director who looked over my portfolio and asked about my past work. After that, I came back for a final interview with the Editor, and we went over my portfolio and some questions again. The last steps were a Photoshop skills test and a personality test. The art department people are really great, honestly the best to work with in the whole company.
- Be ready to show your portfolio.
Software Developer
Started with a phone chat with the HR VP where we talked about my resume and I made my case for why I'm a good fit. It was a quick call with standard behavior questions before they set me up for an in-person interview with the CIO. We went over a lot of the same questions from the phone call, and the CIO told me more about the company. After confirming I was still interested and qualified, I had an in-person interview with a developer and their supervisor on the same day. We met in a conference room for a couple hours and they reviewed my resume, talking about my skills, experience, interests, background, tech exposure, and side projects. The last part involved a tour of the facility and seeing some operations and the company culture.
- How did your college education prepare you for this role?
- How has college prepared you for this position?
Accounts Receivable Analyst
The interview process was pretty easy, mostly asking about your background. But be weary of the final interview though, I was grilled and I think it should be a sign to rethink working for this company if the wage is as low as they offered me.
- Can you tell me about your background?
