Support Manager
I had an initial screening call, followed by a first interview. After that interview, I was told I was a good fit and would proceed to a second interview round with senior management, but that never got scheduled. Oddly enough, I got an email detailing next steps as though I had already completed the second interview. When I tried to follow up with the hiring manager from my first interview, they didn't reply, leaving me feeling ghosted.
- What are your salary expectations?
- What's your motivation for applying for this role?
- How would you feel about joining a team with another experienced manager, given they intended to split duties?
Software Engineer Intern
I kicked things off with a phone chat with someone I met at my school's career fair. They were super friendly and really made me want to talk to more people at the company. After hearing back from HR that they wanted me to come in for an in-office chat, she helped me find a date that worked with my school schedule. They also told me to do two assessments, the Wonderlic and another one I can't recall, but they were pretty standard. The in-office part involved meeting with 4 people: the HR person, a lead dev for a technical chat, a database expert who was kinda technical, and the CEO. Each meeting was about 30 minutes and honestly, it was a good time. They kept things relaxed and were nice the whole way through. It felt like they genuinely wanted to know me as a person, not just what was on my resume.
- Given that your GPA isn't as high as some other applicants, what makes you a strong candidate for this role?
Account Manager
I started with some online tests, the Wonderlic and a personality assessment. Then I had my first call with HR. After that, I did a Skype interview with a department head. A department manager then called me back for a third interview. To finish, I had to do a work study, which involved a PowerPoint presentation on a topic of my choice.
- The work study was different and unexpected, but I think it's a very smart move by a company.
Customer Success Manager
The interview process involved two phone screens, the first with HR and the second with the hiring manager, each lasting about 30 minutes. There was also an online assessment consisting of a Wonderlic test and a personality quiz, which took around 30 minutes. Finally, an in-person panel interview was conducted.
- Can you discuss your past work experience and the duties you performed?
