Exactech (FL) Interview Questions
& Process

I was contacted by an external recruiter and went through a coding interview. Then, I had about 3 or 4 meetings with people I would be working with. The interviews took about 5-10 hours of my time, and the whole process lasted around a month. In the end, I found out they're pausing the position, which seems like they either never intended to hire or are very disorganized. Either way, it felt disrespectful of my time.

Applied on the portal and got a call from HR. Week 1: HR scheduled a video interview where I discussed salary expectations and other requirements. Week 2: Had a phone interview with the hiring manager, but had to wait for 30 mins because they were late, and the interview went over by an hour without notice. Week 4: Another round with a team member, asking the same old behavior questions. Week 4: Asked to take an online Excel Exam. Talked to HR again about the final step and minimum salary requirements. Week 7: Had a 5-hour video interview with team members and the Hiring Manager again. Finally got an offer, but it was 21K less than my minimum salary requirement. They wasted two months, couldn't offer the minimum salary we discussed twice, and gave peanuts after so many rounds. The hiring manager lacked professionalism and clarity on what they needed. Avoid this company, don't waste your time.

Applied online with resume and cover letter. Had a brief phone chat a few weeks later with the hiring manager to confirm I was a real person and polite. Set up an interview with HR a couple weeks after that. Spoke with the hiring manager and another sales person for about 15 minutes each. They were super friendly and professional, not trying to trick me. The flat hierarchy they mentioned seemed legit since I met higher-ups in the hallway. I sent thank you emails right after. HR called a few weeks later with a job offer, and I started a couple weeks after that. Everyone I dealt with was great.

It was an onsite interview with about six to eight people in total from HR, hiring manager, R&D, Quality, and Regulatory. We also took a tour of the facility. The day before, someone showed me around Gainesville and what the housing options are like. That was super helpful.
