First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EWTN.
Product Assistant
The interview process began with a phone screen where the interviewer asked some good questions. Following that, there was a remote interview conducted via a web link. This part involved meeting with both HR and the potential manager, who provided details about the position and its day-to-day responsibilities.
- Can you tell me about your work ethic?
- What do you like best about your current job?
Leadership
The interview seemed focused on my religious beliefs, specifically Catholicism. I was asked about my active practice and involvement in the church. This was disappointing because my Catholicism and active practice should be enough. It felt inauthentic to take on extra roles just for show, and concerning. This made me think maybe this company isn't for me. Candidates get overlooked this way. Also, if I were that involved in church, I wouldn't have time for this job.
- What is your religious affiliation, specifically Catholic?
- Are you an active practitioner of Catholicism?
- Can you describe your level of involvement in your church?
Video Editor
We had four rounds of interviews. First, a phone call with a recruiter. Then, a meeting with the HR person for the DC office and the hiring manager. Next, an in-person interview with the senior manager, show host, and show producer. The final interview was with the head of HR.
- Have you worked with Avid Media Composer before?
Chief Digital Officer
I was contacted by a headhunter, and then a consulting firm handled the actual recruitment. I had four interviews in total: two with the headhunters and two conversations with the recruiter and the consulting firm who presented themselves as the hiring manager.
- What would be your contribution to this role?
