First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EvolutionIQ.
Software Engineer
I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn in February 2025 for a Senior Software Engineer role at EvolutionIQ. The interview process started with a recruiter screen, which included a coding question. The recruiter seemed non-technical, focusing only on whether the code worked correctly, though I did solve it efficiently. Following that, there was a system design interview that also incorporated some behavioral questions. The system design portion was quite standard, emphasizing trade-offs, various design approaches, and how different constraints would impact the system's architecture. Unfortunately, about a week later, I got a rejection email without any specific feedback, and my follow-up requests to the recruiter went unanswered.
- Could you describe a challenging problem you successfully resolved?
- How do you handle workplace disagreements?
- What types of technical challenges do you find most engaging?

The interviews move fast, but the company should check in with their recruiters about how they do their screenings. One recruiter was condescending during the screening, and another just speed-read through a script the whole time. I wasn't interested anymore after talking to the recruiters.
- Can you tell me about your experiences?
Software Engineer
So I had five interviews total. First, the recruiter. Then I had two chats with people who would be my coworkers, one with my future manager, and then a final one with the EVP of Engineering. All the interviews were good, like they really focused on what they needed to. My manager's interview was about what he'd need from me. My coworker's was more about seeing if I could figure out a problem and then code a solution. They all made sure I had time to ask questions too, which was great. I really got a sense of the company and my potential role. I actually learned some stuff that's useful beyond just this job.
- What are the things that you need from someone to manage you effectively?
