The interview process involved 3 stages: a screening, a first SQL interview, and finally a presentation. The SQL part involved explaining how I would tackle a problem shown on the screen. The presentation was something I had to do before the actual interview. The staff were really friendly and the communication was good.

A recruiter reached out, and I was initially excited by the company's image. However, the interview experience was disappointing. I met with two people, one of whom was late. While one interviewer was nice, the other was very rude, interrupting me, being combative, and lecturing me. I also learned the role was very hands-off, lacking creative duties like content creation or strategy development, which was surprising given the job title. It seemed like a glorified executive position with minimal responsibilities, mainly reviewing content and answering questions occasionally. The aggressive and dismissive attitude of one interviewer, who shot down my strategic ideas, was a major red flag. I ultimately retracted my candidacy due to the unprofessional and abusive behavior, feeling the company didn't match its positive online portrayal and that I wouldn't be respected in what was a temporary role.

Got contacted about a role and after some back-and-forth with the recruiter, I set up an interview. I thought maybe they’d passed on me after 1-2 weeks because the recruiter didn't reply to my follow-up email, making the time between initial contact and the interview seem long. The interview itself was a good chat. Based on the interview, the company seems really people-focused. So much so that I had to ask about the work details to understand the daily tasks. I felt good leaving the meeting and was really hoping for an offer, but then I got ghosted. I tried following up with the recruiter a few times but got no response. It makes you question how much they actually care about people if their recruiting team can't even send a quick email to let candidates know they went with someone else.

I went through Evoke Galliard’s grad assessment day, and it was pretty good. They make you do a presentation, a group exercise, a test, and then two rounds of interviews. But I was bummed about how they handled things after. It took them ages to tell me the decision, like 3 weeks, and even when I asked for feedback a couple of times by email, they just ghosted me. Super unprofessional, honestly. Make of that what you will about their company culture.
