First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Evoke Giant.
Copy Supervisor
I had about 3 to 4 interviews. They were with the Creative Director, Group Creative Director, and the Medical Director. Each interview lasted between 30 and 45 minutes. They asked me about my experience with different tactics and my strengths.
- Can you describe how you function as a team player?
Account Executive
First, there was a phone screen. Then, I had an internal interview where I met a bunch of people from the team. I also met some people with different levels of seniority and someone who's been here for a year and is gonna be my mentor.
- Standard questions about learning new systems.
- Can you describe your past experience?
- What's your interest in this field?
Editor
For this job, you'll get an interview invite AFTER you ace their skills assessment. Make sure you know your AMA stuff and have perfect grammar. It's useful if you've worked with an agency or have experience in healthcare, medical admin, tech, or science. The tech side is pretty key.
- What made you want to work for Giant?
- What drew you to Giant specifically?
- Why Giant?
Executive Assistant
I applied for an Executive Assistant role supporting Creative Executives, and the position itself was new. They were still figuring out the job description during my interviews, and I often had to explain what I envisioned the role to be. It felt a bit disorganized. The process involved a phone interview, followed by two in-person interviews. The first in-person was with HR, two EAs, and the receptionist, which was pretty standard. The second interview was quite long, about 4 hours total. It included another HR meeting and then a series of 30-minute interviews with six of the Creative Execs. After the interviews, getting a response was difficult; emails were unanswered, and it took a while to get a clear update. Eventually, HR told me they hired someone they'd interviewed earlier. It seemed like they weren't in a hurry to fill the role, and they ended up going with a candidate they had already spoken to weeks before.
- Some of the Creative Executives doubted the position, asking if one person could really support seven of them and insisting it wasn't a one-person job, which caught me off guard as I had to defend a job description that wasn't even fully formed yet.
