First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at eviCore healthcare.
Medical Director
It was a pretty standard interview process, with situation-based "tell me a time when..." questions. The recruiter was communicative and the process was efficient. There was also a short computer test that was easy. The whole thing took about 5 weeks from the first phone call to getting the offer, and it was all done virtually.
- Can you share an instance where you made an error and describe how you handled it?
Financial Coordinator
I had a twenty-minute interview where we talked about the skills needed for the job, my strengths and weaknesses, how I'd fit into the role, and what I could contribute to help the department run more smoothly. The interviewer also asked personal questions to gauge my personality and see if I'd be a good fit with the team. She inquired about my willingness to work full-time instead of part-time and delved into my personal life, asking about children and my long-term career aspirations. The interview concluded on a positive note with a handshake. Four days later, I received a call for a second interview with the department manager.
- What is your typing speed?
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
- How do you see yourself fitting into this role?
Clinician
I applied at evicore and was contacted about two weeks later. I had to complete a basic computer navigation test and a typing test, which makes sense for the role. The HR representative was great, very helpful and friendly, and answered all my questions. I had an interview within a week and received an offer the following day. The pay is on the lower end, but it's a fast-growing company with potential for advancement, and I enjoy being a Utilization Review Nurse, so that balances it out. It's a great opportunity if you get an offer, as many nurses are seeking employment, so be sure to prepare and stay calm. The hiring manager was very pleasant and transparent about everything, and has been with the company for nearly 10 years, which I see as a positive sign.
- Why are you looking to leave your current job?
- Given that this is a remote, busy, and fast-paced role, why do you believe you're a good fit for us?
- Are you comfortable working with a specific specialty, XXX, and how do you feel about it?
Nurse Reviewer
I applied a few months ago and then got a call and email saying the position was open due to growth. First, I had a phone interview on a conference call with three other Nursing Supervisors. Then, I took a timed typing test. After that, I completed a computer skills assessment to see how well I could navigate the screen. They gave really detailed directions to check if I could follow instructions on my own. A few weeks later, I went in for an in-person interview. Background check and drug testing followed. Once those were cleared, I got the job! The next thing was a three-month training period.
- Can you tell us about your experience in Nursing?
- What academic degrees do you have?
- What supervisory experience do you have?
