The interview process was short, mainly to check your comfort level with teaching. We met in a cafe for a one-on-one interview. The atmosphere was friendly and calm. If you're a qualified swimming teacher and they have available contracted hours, you'll likely get them.

It was one interview, they asked personal attribute questions and then some questions specific to the NPLQ manual. Like what a lifeguard's roles and responsibilities are, and what's expected in the job. It was online, but that might have been because of Covid back then.

The vibe in the centre was good, though the reception staff seemed a bit off. I had an interview scheduled, but it was super disorganized. Despite getting several emails, they didn't know I was coming, and the person who was supposed to interview me was out that day. So, I ended up having an impromptu hour-long chat with the general manager. He seemed nice, but he kept interrupting me mid-answer. He said he wouldn't judge my responses, but when I explained why I quit a previous career path due to tough circumstances, he came across as really privileged and judgmental.

The first interview was a quick phone call where we talked about my past experience. The second and last interview was about 45 minutes long with the Regional Sales Manager and General Manager. We talked about my personal background, my work history, and then I had to give a 15-minute presentation on how I'd boost sales across different sites in the region, a topic I prepared beforehand.
