Originally, I was asked to submit a video of myself answering some questions, but I wasn't comfortable with that because I didn't know how the data would be used or stored. I emailed the recruiter to ask for a phone screening instead, and I was glad they agreed. The phone screening lasted about 30 minutes and consisted of standard introductory questions. I was told I'd hear back in a week. I sent a thank-you email that day and a follow-up the next week, but then I was ghosted. While I'm okay with not being the right fit, I thought the interview went well, and it was unprofessional not to send at least a rejection email.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So I had 3 interviews for this role. The first one was with the Sr. Director of the PMO, and it was pretty much to see if I could handle myself with people and if I could be pushed a bit. The next interview could have been with anyone, but likely a PMO Director and a team lead. That one was more about my actual skills and what I've done. The last interview was with the VP, which was mostly a formality and to see if I'd be a good culture fit. It was kind of weird though, because I got asked some of the same questions in every interview, so it felt like they weren't really talking to each other. They ask a lot of 'what if' questions to see how you'd handle things or how you have handled them in the past. Topics like risk mitigation, conflict resolution, and critical path were covered.

Behavioral Technical Case

There were 3 interviews in total. The first was a phone call with HR to gauge culture fit and general competencies, and discuss compensation. The second interview was with two project management leadership folks, covering topics like estimating, risk mitigation plans, critical path, and general PMP concepts. The final interview was with two account leadership people and another project management lead. This one focused more on communication style, conflict management, and general culture fit. The last PM person asked a couple more PM questions, but they were similar to what was asked in the second interview.
