The interview process was really thorough and well-thought-out. It started with a recruiter call, then a take-home exercise where I had to respond to an angry customer. After that, there was a video call with an onboarder/trainer, followed by a video call with the hiring manager. The final stage was a panel interview with values-based behavioral questions, and it also included a live tech assessment.
- Can you share a time you had a great customer service experience?
- How would you handle an upset customer?
- Please complete a live technical assessment.

After applying online, I got an invite to start the interview process within a week. The whole thing is a 5-stage process and usually takes about 4 to 7 weeks to complete. First, there was a 30-min phone interview with a recruiter. Then, a take-home assessment that I had to finish within 3 days, focusing on how to handle an angry customer when the platform is down. After that, I had a 30-min video call with an onboarding/trainer, followed by another 30-min video call with the hiring manager. The final stage was a panel interview that included a technical assessment. Unfortunately, I didn't get past the 3rd stage because they felt I wasn't a personality/culture fit. My best advice is to really highlight the company's key qualities like support, collaboration, and a passion for learning, using examples from your past experience. Make sure you have a solid answer ready for why you want to join Everlaw and how it will help your career grow.
- What motivates you to want to work for Everlaw?
- Can you share an instance where you provided exceptional support to a customer?
- Describe your approach to handling a situation where a customer is upset due to platform inaccessibility.

So, applying to this role, the whole thing from start to finish took about 2 months. Two weeks after I applied, I got an email for a phone interview. After that, I had to do a written assignment, which they said would take under an hour and a half. Then came a video interview, followed by another video interview, and then the big 4-hour "tech gauntlet" interview. After all that, I had to wait two more weeks for them to tell me their final decision, and sadly, I didn't get the job. Everyone I met was really nice and smart, but a lot of the questions felt repetitive. Sometimes it felt more like an interrogation than a chat. If you're aiming for a job here, make sure you know the platform inside and out, including how it all works – knowing the product is super important.
