Had a 2-stage interview process. First was a call with the hiring manager to go over the role. Then, an onsite interview with the hiring manager and another finance team member for competency-based questions.

So first you'll apply online through Cook Biotech's careers website, making sure your resume and cover letter show off what you can do. After they look at applications, they might do an initial screening, where a recruiter or hiring manager checks if you meet the basic requirements. If you pass that, you might have a phone interview, usually with a recruiter or HR person, where they'll ask about your background, skills, and why you're interested. Then, you could have one or more technical interviews where you might talk about your experience, methods, how you solve problems, and answer some behavioral questions. Usually, there are about 4 interviews in total.

I applied in July and got a call for an interview about two weeks later. It was with two nice women, and it was supposed to be 20-30 mins but went longer because I talk a lot. They asked why I wanted to work for RTI, and I mentioned my Bachelors in Health Admin/Info Systems. It felt like a casual chat, and they seemed interested in what I said about being willing to help out in any way. They mentioned HR would contact me eventually and I'd be notified either way. The manager said the department was understaffed and needed to fill the position fast, with not many applicants, which surprised me when I wasn't offered the job. I guess I misunderstood that part. Good news is RTI does give feedback, unlike some companies.

Presentation Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

It started with me giving a 20-30 minute presentation to the operations staff about my background and achievements. Then, there were two 45-minute panel interviews. We had lunch and a plant tour with the hiring managers during breaks. The day concluded with a lean manufacturing case study problem, which took about 2 hours to work through and then present the findings. The staff was nice and friendly, but really focused on seeing if I was a good fit. It was a pretty intense interview process overall. The panel consisted of about 10 people who asked a mix of behavioral, situational, and some technical questions related to quality control and inventory management. I did well in the interview, but they said I didn't have as much experience (internships & co-ops) as other candidates. The whole process was really long; sometimes weeks went by without hearing from them, and it took 6 weeks after the final interview to get a response.
