Program Director
The interview process included relevant questions to assess content knowledge for the role. I was asked typical questions that someone in this position should be prepared for. The team was friendly and made me feel welcome. Overall, it was a positive experience.
- Can you describe your leadership style?
Director of Education and Director of Career Services
I had an in-person interview first with the campus directors and the president. Then, I got a call saying I moved to the next level for a phone interview with the corporate regional vp. The day after that, I was informed my interviews were going well and I'd meet the staff I might supervise. This meeting with the instructional staff was the hardest part because they were still upset with the last director. The next day, I got the offer.

I applied and got an email three days later for a group interview 10 days later. The "group" interview only had two people. The staff were unprofessional and the interview started 45 minutes late. We were called to a computer room by three people. The manager went over expectations using 20 PowerPoint slides. Then they asked situational questions about work history, how I'd respond to being late and violating integrity, and why I want to work for Everest. The interview was non-threatening, unprofessional, and easy. I got a call that night for a second interview with the President the next day. That interview also had a long wait, and felt like a conversation. They said they'd call the next day, but I got an unprofessional email three days later offering me the job. Then they asked me to do a third phone interview with another manager. The experience was the same: a long wait and unprofessionalism. They said they'd email about salary but I had to call them. They asked "how much you want to get paid?" After negotiating, they said I'd start Thursday/Friday and I never heard back. They responded to my email saying "oh we sent the paperwork to HR." A week later, I got an email saying they were on a hiring freeze and we could look elsewhere. I didn't respond because they wasted my time. This has happened to me three times with this company.

The interview experience was great. My manager was really nice and made me feel comfortable. She gave quick feedback via email. This job is similar to sales, so a sales background is helpful. The office staff seemed happy and got along well, possibly hanging out after work. They welcomed me warmly, and I'm excited to start next week.
