On November 28th, I was contacted by Everest's Talent Acquisition team about a job. After I gave my availability, a 30-minute call was set for the next week. I joined the call early on the scheduled day. However, nobody showed up. After waiting 10 minutes, I emailed to ask what was up, but got no reply. I kept waiting, thinking maybe there was a delay, but no news came. I sent another email later, saying I was worried and could reschedule if something happened. Still no response. By December 4th, with no communication, I decided to look elsewhere. Weeks later, on December 23rd, I got an email saying, "Your qualifications have been carefully reviewed. At this time, we feel there are others who more closely meet our requirements." This was annoying because the job was still open. It was a really bad experience. I put time and effort into prepping and being professional, but just got silence and no follow-through. I get that companies have processes and pick other people, but good and timely communication is key to being professional and respectful. Hiring needs accountability. Candidates deserve respect and honesty in hiring, and their efforts should be noticed, and their time valued.

Case Behavioral

The interview process had two main parts. The first round, which included two interviews, took place at my business school. The second round had four interviews and was held at the company's office in Dallas. Initially, only case studies were presented, but the second round focused more on behavioral questions. The company is small and places a high value on its culture. They are keen on candidates having a deep understanding of the outsourcing industry and its ecosystem, with a specific interest in operations strategy. The people there are notably humble. Given the firm's size, everyone knows each other, fostering a very collaborative work environment.
