My interview experience with Eventbrite was disappointing, especially considering the company's size and reputation. I was excited to potentially work for a product I admire. The process started with the recruiter rescheduling our call last minute with no apology or context. This lack of basic courtesy was disappointing, though I tried to be understanding. The next step was a call with the hiring manager, who joined 10 minutes late without notice. After waiting and emailing them with no response, she eventually joined and mentioned her previous meeting ran over. I was expecting the interview to be extended due to the delay, but it still ended after only 20 minutes instead of the scheduled 30, leaving me feeling disadvantaged. I followed up with the recruiter after the interview, and she said I'd hear back in a few days. However, I received a generic rejection email, which felt like an automated response for candidates who didn't even get to the first round. For a company like Eventbrite, I expected a more respectful and thoughtful process. While I understand not every interview leads to an offer, the lack of communication, rushed interactions, and apparent disinterest made for a discouraging experience. I hope they improve their candidate experience, as candidates invest significant time and effort into researching companies and roles, which deserves professionalism and courtesy.

The process was really well organized and moved at a good pace. They didn't rush, but they also didn't waste my time, which was great. Everyone I spoke with was super friendly, happy to answer any questions, and came prepared with questions to help them find the right fit.

I applied for a Product Marketing Manager job and had a phone chat with the recruiter. Then I had an onsite interview where I met with the hiring manager and the recruiter. The interview went for over 2 hours. They said I'd hear back in a month, but after 4 months and following up twice, I still haven't heard anything. It's frustrating not to get any response after putting in at least 6 hours of work, including the application, prep, and the interview itself.
