Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EVC Scottsdale.
Account Manager
I met with the CEO, Gareth Roberts, for the first interview. A secretary greeted me and I filled out a form that confirmed my resume details. Gareth asked me some thought-provoking questions without taking many notes, which made it feel less stressful. He focused on my past successes, the company, why it's a great place to work, and why I'd be a good candidate. It was a very relaxed interview. The second interview covered the company's structure and compensation. I was expecting a call from Gareth by the end of the day. Around 6 PM, Gareth's assistant called. I figured Gareth was calling to inform candidates who didn't get an offer about how to find other jobs. I had 72 hours to decide if I wanted to join the team.

Account Manager
I got to my interview 30 minutes early, and there were three people already waiting. I was dressed better than them, and each interview took at least 25 minutes. When it was my turn, the CEO interviewed me. He seemed nice but was discriminatory. I've been a stay-at-home mom for the past seven years, but I have a lot of experience and a degree that fit this job. He asked me how many kids I had and then ended the interview, which lasted only 7 minutes. I don't feel I was treated fairly or given a chance to show what I could do for the company. He shouldn't have asked personal questions, and I didn't get a fair chance.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Account Manager
There are two rounds of in-person interviews. The first interview is about 15 minutes long. The second interview is about 45 minutes to an hour long and covers personal background, education, and expectations regarding industry, business model, pay, and career advancement.
