There were three interviews: first a recruiter call, then a meeting with two managers, and lastly a final interview with a manager and a VP. The interviews involved typical situation-based questions, and the final one included a presentation.

I went through 4 rounds of interviews: 2 with a recruiter, 1 with the hiring manager, and a final one with a current team member. The first three were fine, but the last interview with the team member felt awkward and unprofessional. She seemed dismissive and gave off the vibe that she was bothered I'm not a native English speaker. She kept rephrasing what I said in a way that felt condescending. She also left the interview twice to get packages, which was weird. If she was busy, the interview should have been rescheduled. I was told afterward that I wasn't a good fit culturally, which made sense given the team seemed to have a very similar background. The initial recruiter interviews were all about Gartner's values, asking for STAR method answers. Be robotic and you'll be fine. Later questions were more vague. My advice is to ask the interviewers tons of questions to figure out what they're really looking for. Honestly, it feels like if you don't have a specific background, you won't really be considered.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied to Gartner/Evanta via LinkedIn and a recruiter reached out. First was a screening interview where they told me about the company and team. Then I was asked behavioral questions about dealing with difficult colleagues and prioritizing work. Next, I had an interview with the Senior Art Director who was very direct. We talked about the role and then I walked him through my portfolio, explaining my design process for websites and prints. Two weeks later, the recruiter called to say I didn't have enough experience (they needed 2-4 years when the JD said 1-2), which felt like a waste of my time. I was disappointed as I asked for feedback but didn't receive any specific points to work on.

Started with discussions with the hiring manager. Then, a round-table interview with several of the software developers where there was a mix of technical and non-technical / cultural questions. After that, there were one-on-one discussions with several members of the QA and project management team.
