First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Evans Bank.
Sales
I applied online and then got a call from HR. After that, I had an interview with the department. The last part was talking more with the hiring manager and answering some questions before they offered me the job.
- Could you tell me why you are interested in this particular sales position?
- In what ways can you contribute to Evans Bank?
- What professional networks and potential business opportunities can you bring to the bank?
Event Manager
There were three interviews. The first was with the recruiter, and then two more with the CMO. The interviews were long, and there was a lot of time between each one, which I didn't like. I followed up and didn't hear back for about a week, so I was left waiting. It felt like they were keeping me as a backup in case the first candidate they wanted didn't work out.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
Teller
So first you have a phone interview, and if you do well then you come in for an in person interview. It took about 3 weeks from when I applied to when I got the offer.
- How have you solved a problem in the past related to banking?
Personal Banker
I had a simple sit down with the branch manager. We talked about basic skills I learned in college/university. After a brief 5 minute chat about personal things not related to the job, my hand was shaken and we parted ways. The main point of the meeting was just to get to know me better, not to discuss the position.
- Do you have experience handling money?
