I went through three interview rounds and then got an assignment and presentation. The assignment was given on Friday morning and I had to present it by Monday late morning, which meant a weekend turnaround requiring a lot of work outside normal hours. I did the assignment and presentation. After the last round, I was told my "assumptions fell below the mark," which was vague and didn't explain what was wrong or how I missed expectations, especially after I put in all that weekend effort. They kept the job opening for two more months after rejecting me, which makes me think they couldn't find anyone suitable. It felt exploitative – they wanted manager-level work and results for an "Associate" title with pay up to $85K, but expected manager duties. The unclear feedback and the long time to fill the role make me wonder if their expectations were reasonable. For people applying: expect manager-level tasks for associate-level pay, very short deadlines for assignments, and not much clarity.

I had a 30-minute virtual interview set up, but the interviewer didn't show. I waited the whole time and then emailed the coordinator, but got no reply. I followed up again later and still nothing. It was pretty disappointing and a waste of my time because of the poor communication and professionalism.

I applied through Indeed. They bypassed the typical phone interview and instead asked me to come into the office. The hiring manager was pretty disorganized, rescheduling twice. When I finally went in, she was in a meeting, so I ended up speaking with someone else. The interview itself went well, and the person seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me. As a next step, I was asked to create sample social media posts and a sample social media plan, which I had a week to complete. I submitted my work and a link to a sample social account, but then heard absolutely nothing back. It was pretty unprofessional to have a candidate invest time in a significant project and then not even respond.

I had an initial phone interview with the hiring account manager, lasting about 20 minutes, mainly to get to know me. The following week, I went in for an in-person interview with the same person. She asked more standard interview questions, nothing too difficult. She mentioned a follow-up interview the next week for a more in-depth discussion, but I never heard back.
