First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Etactics.
Software Engineer
I had a virtual interview with the manager where I completed a logic test and a coding exercise. Then, I went in for an in-person code review and met most of the team. I also had the chance to meet the president and a lot of the company.
- What are you looking for in a job?
Software Developer Intern
Came in for an onsite interview where they asked the usual questions. Wanted to know about myself, school, and interests. They gave an overview of how the company worked and were happy to answer my questions about the development process. After the interview, I was emailed a small coding assignment. Using Java I had to implement some methods for a deck of cards. I was also emailed an aptitude test. Test wasn't too bad. Every employee takes it. Some business units have you take this test on site. In my case, I was emailed it to do at home with the coding assignment.
- Can you tell me about your school projects and any outside projects you've worked on, and how your team communicated?

Client Manager
Had two interviews, pleasant experience with the Bill and Joe. They taught me what they do as a company and what my role would be. They used the white board to help describe the process that they are involved in.
- What do you know about your possible role here?
Java Developer
First, there was a math aptitude test with pattern matching, word problems, and numerical problems. You needed to get at least 21/30. Then, I had a chat with the whole team about my background, experience, and the projects on my resume.
- Can you tell me about the projects you've listed on your resume and how you approached them? Specifically, what challenges did you encounter and how did you tackle them?
