Product Manager
I applied online and got a call back in a few days. The recruiter was really nice and worked with me to schedule an HR phone interview. After that, they invited me for an in-person interview at their office in Sorrento Valley. The office was pretty standard. The first part was a panel interview with four people. Then, I had individual one-on-one interviews with each of those four. Two of the interviewers were great, and I actually enjoyed that part, even though the whole process was tough. They asked some thought-provoking questions and made me feel comfortable. We've kept in touch since then. Sadly, I didn't get the job, but no hard feelings. They took about a month after the in-person interviews to let me know I wasn't selected.
- What's the number one thing engineering needs from a PM?
- How would you go about learning about Esub's construction software business given no prior background in construction?
- You have the sales team pressing you for a feature that will make 3 sales possible. You also have customer support asking for urgent fixes. And management wants the next release asap to show to investors. How will you decide which one to attack first?
Head of Implementation
A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and I met with them twice. Then I met with the COO two times and got positive feedback. The COO was going on PTO and I was told they would reach out after that for next steps, but I've been ghosted. It's unprofessional and bad for the brand. A simple email or text would have been nice. A lot of time wasted on this company.
- Can you describe your overall experience?
- What is your management style?
- What methodology do you use?
Customer Success Manager
The interview finished with a chat about how badly they needed to fill the job and if I could meet with the exec team the next day. I was super keen and then heard absolutely nothing. I sent a few follow-ups but got no response. It would've been nice to get a courtesy email to wrap things up. The whole thing just feels a bit shady and not very professional.
- What are some standard interview questions you typically ask?
Sales Executive
I applied on a Tuesday and had my first interview with Meredith on Thursday, which lasted about 30 minutes. Then I met with Sharon, the SVP of Sales, on Friday. I ended up finding another job, but the team was nice to meet.
- Can you tell me about your previous sales quota?
- How do you approach lead generation?
