Technical Behavioral

The interview process was quite long, involving about 30 minutes for a technician assessment and a 45-minute discussion. The overall journey, including a nearly 3-hour drive with unexpected traffic, was draining. I didn't even have time for lunch and felt I needed something sugary to keep my brain working, but couldn't find anything. As a result, I struggled to answer even simple questions related to my daily tasks or articulate clearer answers more effectively, which was quite frustrating. Despite the personal challenges, one of the interviewers was excellent; even though I didn't get the job, he was the best interviewer I've encountered in the UK, a genuinely nice person.

Behavioral Presentation

I had one in-person interview with the team manager and the department manager. The department manager began by detailing the team's structure, how it fits within the department, and the day-to-day responsibilities of the position I applied for. This introduction lasted about 15 minutes. The remainder of the interview involved me answering questions where I needed to give examples, and some questions asked for my thoughts on how I would handle certain situations. Finally, there were a few minutes at the end for my own questions.
