I got contacted by their automated system about two days after applying to set up an interview. It was a 30-minute virtual meeting where I talked to the pharmacy manager and two staff pharmacists. They asked me about 8 STAR-type questions, and then we went over the usual work schedule and the intern certificate program.

The interview process was very professional and efficient. The interview panel was respectful and allowed me space to answer or expound on questions and concepts. They answered questions and provided clarity. Body language and verbal cues were engaged and indicated interest throughout.

The whole process started with an initial "just discuss" with the recruiter that turned out to be full of questions, like the ones I had during my residency interviews. The recruiter was great at keeping everyone in the loop and coordinating everything. After that, I met with the department director to see if she liked me enough to move forward. Then came a full day of interviews with the department head, manager, other providers, and a financial officer (who talked about salary and benefits but seemed like they weren't going to hire me), plus a regional director. I guess I didn't interview well, because I got an automated rejection the next business day after the long interview day. It seemed like a good place, but they didn't think I was a good fit.

It was a pretty standard interview. They'll ask you questions that have a clear right and wrong answer, like if you'd skip steps to save time. Obviously, in Sterile Processing, quality is way more important than speed, so that's the obvious answer. Most of the questions are like that. They also ask a lot about your past job experiences and how they'd fit this role.
