Senior System Quality Analyst
Had a really bad interview experience with a woman, likely a senior tester from the company, who was supposed to evaluate my automation testing skills but clearly lacked any real experience in automation or DevOps. Instead of discussing frameworks, strategies, or actual automation challenges, she just read generic Selenium questions from a script without understanding them. She was clueless about automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, or CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, etc. She had no knowledge of modern DevOps practices or hands-on experience, just old-school manual testing and memorized syntax. The technical and problem-solving questions were superficial. It's baffling that someone so technically unqualified and out of touch can make hiring decisions. This experience highlighted that tenure doesn't always mean expertise, and professionalism is as crucial as technical knowledge. Hard pass.
- What is your daily output for writing automated test scripts?
Applications Architect
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with a focus on personality and background, then moved into technical questions. They also asked about questions relevant to the specific role and your resume. There was a take-home exam that was generally easy if you're familiar with your field.
- Can you explain the different types of Java collections and their applications?
Physician Assistant
The interviewer was really nice and gave me a lot of good info. They knew a lot about the job and where it is. They got back to me fast with an offer and I started the onboarding process soon after.
- Can you tell me about your experience with contract work and your understanding of this role?
Intern
The recruiter set up two interviews for me. First, I had a 30-minute Zoom call with the head of the department. Then, I had a 15-minute Zoom call with the head of HR.
