Behavioral Presentation

I applied for the job on LinkedIn. The first step was a quick 20-minute phone call with a gatekeeper to go over the basics of the job, like duties and responsibilities. After that, I had a longer, more in-depth hour-long phone interview with the hiring manager. We talked about the requirements and expectations for the role, and I also gave some input and recommendations for improvements. The final interview was in person in Oregon. I flew into Portland for the day and met with six executives face-to-face, and also had three interviews via teleconference with support staff.

I wasn't initially considered but they changed their requirements and I did a phone interview, which went well. A few days later, they invited me for a half-day interview at their expense. The travel arrangements they made were a bit messy and I had to sort them out. When I got there, I met with the manager for an hour, toured the facility, and then had an interview with the manager and two leads. The questions were good and challenging, and I was happy to get a technical question. Overall, the process was good and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, it didn't lead to an offer; they later changed their requirements again. Like many companies now, they seem to struggle with making a decision.

I sent my resume, cover letter, and a letter of recommendation to HR via fax. A few days later, the Director of Materials called me in for an interview. It was a one-on-one meeting in their office, covering my work history, the responsibilities of the Purchasing Agent/Buyer and Planner role, and included a tour of the department with introductions to the team. I was offered the job right then and there. After that, I completed the necessary paperwork and underwent a drug test before my start date.

I applied online and the manager reached out asking me to apply on their site. I had a phone screen where they were looking to hire four people and the manager seemed impressed. After some weeks, I was told the position was filled but they'd keep me in mind. Months later, I was contacted for another phone interview, but still no job offer.
