First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ERDC.
Engineer
I was brought onsite for an in person interview senior year of undergrad, and they had me talk to multiple people in the office, sit through a presentation, and give one of myself and experience. Overall, they seemed genuinely interested in finding a place for me and were great to talk to.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Researcher
The interview process consisted solely of a presentation. If the presentation aligned with ongoing projects, no formal questions were asked. The interview was not difficult, and the people were friendly, making the experience comfortable.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Research Civil Engineer
I was first contacted through Handshake and had a quick phone chat with the recruiter. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview. I traveled to Vicksburg and met the team. Part of the interview involved giving a 20-minute presentation on my past research. I also got to ask a lot of questions about the job.
- How can your past research experience be relevant to this position?
Business Analyst
Because I was hired as a contractor, there were two interview stages. The first interview was with both the contractor and the company, and the second interview was with the people who would be my project managers.
- Can you tell us more about yourself?
- Would you prefer to work on front-end or back-end tasks so we can decide where to place you?
