First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Equity Trust Company.
Onboarding Specialist
HR initially reached out and arranged a call with the hiring manager. The second step, which I thought went quite well, turned out not to be the case. HR was supposed to contact me to set up a facility visit, but they went silent. When I followed up, I was told they had chosen another candidate. The only positive aspect was that I developed a greater tolerance for unprofessional conduct. Thanks for the "encouraging" experience!
- What motivated you to apply to this company?
Software Engineer
So the process started with a recruiter call, and then there were 3 more interviews. First, you talk to the dev team leads. Then, you interview with the BA team, who you'll also be working with. Finally, you meet with some higher-ups. Only the first interview was technical, with basic stuff like FizzBuzz and questions about polymorphism. The BA team interview was more behavioral, and the last one was pretty much to see if you'd be a good cultural fit. The whole thing was pretty chill and the people were nice to talk to.

Data Entry Specialist
I had a strange interview experience for the Data Entry Specialist role. A couple of days before my interview, I got an email saying the hiring manager was already making a decision, even though the job hadn't been posted for long. The really odd part was that the position was posted on Indeed the very next day after I got that email. I've never seen anything like this before, especially coming from the East Coast and now living in Ohio. I guess I was too qualified anyway, and it wasn't meant to be. Glad it worked out though.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Operations
I chilled in the lobby for a bit reading the WSJ. Then, the Senior Recruiter met me and we went to a meeting room. The interview was a group thing with two rounds, pretty chill. They asked me about my background, what I've done, and what I'm aiming for career-wise. The second round was more about leadership stuff and my experience with it.
