First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Equisoft.
Developer
They start with an HR screening, then a technical interview to explain the role. The technical part was supposed to have two interviewers, but one didn't show up. I think the tech interview went fine, but I never heard back and got ghosted. They didn't even have the decency to provide feedback or respect my time, even though I met all the job requirements and answered questions well. Their hiring process seems flawed, and frankly, it's probably for the best I didn't get an offer given how they treat candidates.
- Questions about .NET, including DI and SOLID principles. They also assess debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Production Support Specialist
I applied online and had an interview with HR within a week. The HR person was professional and seemed keen on hiring someone with relevant experience. The following week, I was scheduled to interview with the Technical Manager and Team Leader, but the Team Leader didn't show up. So, I only interviewed with the Technical Manager online. The interview wasn't too hard, but the manager seemed to be looking for a flawless candidate. I noticed the job posting had been up for weeks, which made me wonder if they really needed to hire for this position, and maybe that's why the Team Leader ghosted the interview. Big thanks to HR for the quick response and follow-up; I hope they find someone soon and don't get stuck searching forever.
- Can you discuss your previous experience relevant to this position?
Product Owner
First, there was a recruiter call to set up a time. It was a casual 30-minute chat. This was followed by an interview with the hiring manager. Then the long series of follow-ups and reschedules began. The recruitment process wasn't very efficient.
- Can you tell me about how you manage conflicts?
- What's the distinction between term and whole life insurance?
- What's your experience using Kanban?
Functional Developer
I started with a call with a recruiter to go over the job details and my background. Then, I interviewed with a couple of senior functional developers. The questions were mostly about my resume, not too technical. This was around the 2022 Thanksgiving holiday. It took about 2-3 weeks from the interview to get an offer. The recruiter did reach out to confirm I was still being considered, so I knew they weren't ignoring me. I did get an offer in the end, but I chose to accept another job elsewhere.
