Behavioral Presentation

I went through a three-stage interview process. The first interview was with HR. The recruiter seemed serious, almost unfriendly, and asked questions that didn't feel very relevant to the role, though they did share salary and benefits info early on. The second interview was with a Sales Director in the Netherlands, which was more relaxed but lacked business depth; she couldn't offer much info on the Spanish market. There was a long wait for the third interview. I had to chase HR, and their responses were vague. They eventually scheduled a final interview with a presentation. I asked HR for presentation length guidance, but they said it was up to me, so I prepared a lot. Then, just hours before, they emailed to say it should be max 20 minutes plus Q&A, which was frustrating due to the last-minute change. The final interview had four people: the Sales Director and three others. The questions were mostly behavioral, with little focus on business topics, and the interviewers didn't seem very knowledgeable about the business. I lost interest due to these inconsistencies and poor communication. Weeks later, I got a generic email saying they hired someone else. The whole process felt unstructured and uninformative, with unclear expectations and bad communication from HR.

Behavioral Presentation

It began with a recruiter screening call. This was followed by a virtual meeting with the hiring manager. Next, I had a virtual meeting with the VP of the market relevant to the position. Then, a virtual meeting with the Swedish Managing Director. The final step was a virtual panel presentation where I shared my strategy for the role, how I'd manage the assigned clients, and my key messaging. Overall, it was an outstanding experience - direct, with a quick turnaround and a smooth operation. Equinix's commitment to making you feel safe, like you belong, and that you matter was evident; they truly live by their words. The people were open, humble, and friendly. I interacted with 7 employees in total. Great people.

The interview process was very insightful and organized. The interviewers were open to providing feedback and allowing me to dictate how the interview conversation went. It felt more conversational than a question-answer format. The staff was friendly.
