The interview process at EquiLend is thorough and collaborative, typically involving 3-4 rounds over about two weeks. It begins with an initial recruiter call to discuss my background and career goals, followed by technical interviews with team members to assess role-specific skills. The later stages include conversations with the hiring manager, where I'd discuss specific examples of my work and the impact I've made, and finally a meeting with senior leadership to explore how I align with EquiLend's values and culture. What I appreciate about this process is that it's designed to be interactive and two-way - not just the company evaluating me, but also giving me opportunities to learn about the team.
- What motivates you about working in this role?
Solutions Engineer
I applied online and got an interview pretty fast. The people I talked to were mostly nice and professional, which made me think it was going well. But then it became a really long and annoying process. Getting any kind of update was incredibly difficult; I had to chase them all the time, and every time they just gave me the same vague answer: “You’re a highly regarded applicant, please sit tight a little longer.” This went on for like two months with no real progress or clear information. Then I found out – from a Glassdoor post, not even the company – that they had already offered the job to someone else who turned it down. I felt totally misled and like they were just wasting my time. The whole thing was a waste of my time and energy.
- What's your experience working with AEs?
Associate Director, Account Manager
The interview process for the role at EquiLend was straightforward, clear and well-organized. Scheduling the interview was seamless and knowing who you were going to meet ahead of time helped with my preparation for specific persona. The interviews were a mixed of virtual and in person depending on location and schedule of who you were interviewing with. Each round has a purpose and well structured to make sure you were qualified and right fit for the role and company culture. The interviewers were friendly, prepared and it was clear they wanted to know me and my capabilities and what unique skills or experience I can bring to the team. The communication throughout with their Senior Talent Acquisition team was excellent. The positive experience throughout the process made it a top choice and desire to be part of the team.
- How have you managed revenue to accelerate growth, and what strategies have you employed?
Software Engineer
I applied through a referral on LinkedIn and got it easily. Then, I scheduled my first interview, a 15-minute phone screening. It got rescheduled, which was fine. The rescheduled interview went well, with basic questions and company policy info. I suggest knowing the company basics. After that, I got an email to schedule the next interview for Thursday. This interview was on Microsoft Teams, starting with introductions, then fundamental questions like OOP and ACID properties, paging, and SQL joins. There were about 9-10 questions, which I answered well. Then we moved to DSA, where I was asked to write a program to find the minimum elements between two repeated elements. I gave two approaches with complexity analysis and then implemented one using a HashMap. The online compiler had an error with HashMap's ContainsKey function, but the interviewer said it was okay as he seemed to be in a hurry. The interview ended shortly after, and within a minute, I got an email saying I wasn't selected, feeling like it was a formality. I prepared for a week, and despite doing well, they didn't give reasons, which is unfair and unprofessional.
