So, the interview process started with an Online Assessment, which was pretty much for everyone eligible. I did alright on that and then got to the Technical Interview. That's where they hit me with some easy SQL queries and also asked me to come up with test cases for ChatGPT, since I was into AI stuff back then. Didn't make it past that, but it was a good experience to get better at SQL and think about testing AI.

First, there was an aptitude test on the amcat platform, which was easy. It had 14 logical questions to be answered in 14 minutes and two programming questions to be answered in 1 hour. Second, there were two technical interviews, which also included HR rounds. It was a very traditional way of interviewing and consisted of old-school questions. You can't discuss recent trends and technology with them.

So they started by asking me about myself, then we jumped into project discussions. We talked about JWT, explaining it thoroughly. Then they asked why I chose QA and EQ. After that, it was SQL questions, starting with a simple GROUPBY query. The second was to find the average salary excluding the top two earners. The third query was to do this for every department, which I couldn't answer, but they suggested trying it in C++. I attempted it, but ran out of time. I was directly shortlisted to HR, skipping a technical round. Unfortunately, I got rejected after one answer where they asked how I would grow, and I said as a developer.
