Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Epsilon.
Software Engineer
The interview process included two rounds, L1 and L2, plus two additional managerial rounds and an HR round, concluding the process. The questions were quite interesting, including some situation-based ones. L1 and L2 interviews lasted an hour and 30 minutes respectively, while the other rounds involved a few normal questions about my experience.
- Tell me about your experience with the tech stack you've worked with.
- How would you handle a situation like [specific scenario]?
Software Engineer
The interview will mainly focus on very chill and basic DSA and DBMS concepts, nothing too advanced or tricky. They will also spend time asking about the projects you have worked on, how you built them, what problems they solved, and the APIs you integrated or used in those projects. So, the flow will be simple: some conceptual checks followed by a project and API discussion.
- Can you explain what JDBC is and its working principle?
Senior Software Engineer
I got a call from a third-party recruiter initially. After I cleared the Epsilon recruiter's first round, they took over. The process involved 2 technical rounds, then a techno-managerial round, and finally an HR round. All those rounds went smoothly, and the interviewers were professional. However, after finishing all the rounds, the HR informed me that I had to complete an additional online coding test. The HR's communication was not great; she made me wait over a week for feedback, even though they had wanted to complete both technical rounds on the same day, which I did. She then came back with an offer that was the same as my current one. This whole situation was disappointing and led me to decline the offer.
- Can you explain JavaScript basics and advanced concepts?
- Tell me about your experience with Angular.
- What are your thoughts on Node.js?
