First, they'll look at your resume and hit you up for a quick chat. Then, you'll have an interview where they'll ask about your experience and skills to see if you're a good fit. After that, there's a technical interview with coding challenges to check your abilities. You might also have an on-site interview with the team and other folks in the department. Finally, after all the interviews, they'll decide if they want to offer you the job.

Submitted an application via the online survey on EPFL's site. Got a response in a couple of weeks. Had an onsite meeting. Then a phone call about the contract details. I successfully started the new position.

Technical Behavioral

This was one of the worst interview experiences I've had. I went through several technical interviews where some questions were repeated, and I'm not sure about their purpose since the answers wouldn't change. Communication with HR via email was poor, with no clear answers to general questions, no timeline provided, and no feedback or visibility into the process. Although it wasn't going to work out for unrelated reasons, the worst part was receiving an automatic 'Noreply' email after two months instead of a simple message from HR stating they had chosen another candidate. What is HR's role if they can't even send a basic email to someone who applied and invested time in the company?
