First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EPFL.
Intern
It was a quick interview, only about 10 minutes long. I spoke with the professor I wanted to intern for. They asked me about my interests and my past experience.
- Could you tell me about the projects you have worked on?
- What are your areas of interest for this internship?
Intern
It was a quick interview, lasting about 30 minutes, and the interviewer was nice. We went over the project in detail, and they asked for my thoughts on it. We also decided on and scheduled the internship duration together.
- Tell me about your previous experience.
Intern
I talked with some people from the lab about myself (my education, what I like, etc.), the lab projects that I would find most interesting, and the internship's conditions. There were two interviewers and they were both really nice. All in all, it was a good experience.
- How would you approach designing a database if a client requested it?
