Behavioral Technical

Had a screener phone call and a video call with HR. Then a partial technical interview via conference/video, followed by a 5-hour onsite technical interview. They did offer mileage for the trip. The whole thing took about 3 weeks, and then they ghosted me.

Behavioral Technical Case

First, there was a phone screen. Then, I had an interview with some senior to executive leaders in a boardroom. Finally, I was given a case study about a fake utility. Even though it was tough, I think the in-person meeting with the senior people went pretty well. Each leader asked questions for about an hour. The take-home thing was a case study showing how I'd fix problems for a made-up utility, using Lean Six Sigma. I sent in a 4-page paper, and then almost two weeks later, I got a rejection letter from EPB. I tried to get feedback from the recruiter, but they didn't reply. It's a bummer because if you're a finalist and do an unpaid assignment, you should get more respect than a form letter. EPB seems like a great company, but how they treated finalists is a red flag about their culture.

They started me off with a technical assignment. After they liked my submission, we moved to the next step, which was a technical interview. There was no coding in this interview, I mostly got asked questions about C# and .NET core.

Behavioral Group

So, there was this panel interview with folks from different parts of the business. They might do more than one panel interview, and you could do it either on-site or remotely. There was also a lunch interview with people you'd be working with on your team or in other groups. Make sure you're ready to talk about problems you've solved and projects you've managed.

  • How would you manage a situation where you disagreed with a change in direction?
