Customer Service Representative
The interview process had three steps. The first was just HR, the second involved HR and customer service, and the final one was with the manager. The whole thing took about a month.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you describe a challenging situation you've faced?
- What do you consider your strengths and weaknesses?
Performance Marketing Manager
Applied online. Had an initial screening interview with hr/recruiter. 10 days later had a 2nd interview with the hiring manager. Then crickets. Waited a couple of weeks and sent an email asking how things were progressing. Got a nebulous response. On day 42 of this adventure I get "Currently, based on our business needs, this position has been placed on hold." Of course. Let's waste multiple candidates time and delay making decisions for 40+ days so that the company can decide not to even hire. Sad.
- Can you tell me about some of the programs you've executed?
- What's your experience with your martech stack?
- Can you tell me more about your martech stack experience?
Payroll Team Leader
So I applied and the recruiter hit me up in a few days. We had an interview right away. Then, less than a week later, I talked to the hiring manager. A week after that, I had my final interview with the Finance Director. I tried to push this last interview back by 2 days for personal reasons, but the director said it was too late. Now, it's been weeks, and the recruiter is ghosting me with no feedback. It's funny how they don't have time to postpone an interview by 2 days, but then they take ages to get back to you, and probably won't even do it.
- Can you share some details about your past work experience?
- What are your strategies for dealing with various leadership challenges?
- Can you outline a specific leadership scenario and explain how you would approach resolving it?
Product Manager
So I had 2 calls, each about 90 minutes long, with people on the technical side. The questions were interesting, pretty standard for a tech interview. Everyone was nice enough, but it just didn't feel like a good mutual fit. It was super formal, nobody really tried to get to know me or let me get to know them. When I asked about the product itself, they were really cagey, acting like I was asking for the secret formula when I asked about a public demo or video. They never got back to me after I sent a polite rejection email. So yeah, not the right place for me. My advice is, get to know your candidates and be more open about your product, especially if it's already out there. PMs need to understand the tech and direction.
- Can you tell me about your general experience relevant to this role?
