First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Envision Experience.
Scholar Experience Team
First there was a phone call with some short questions about your personality, for which you had to use a weird app. Then, there was an automated personality quiz that took me at least 2 hours. This quiz asked me questions like which of these two words suit you best. It wasn't a bad interview, it just took a while to get through and was more about checking you weren't a psychopath than if you were a good worker.
- What motivated your interest in this position?
Trainee
So I had 4 interviews for this training position. The first two were good, interviewers seemed into it. But then it got weird. The third interviewer wasn't really paying attention and asked me if I was interested in other roles. Then she basically said her team is hard to get along with and gave an example by bad-mouthing another interviewer who apparently didn't fit in. The last interview was with HR, and she had nothing prepared. She kept looking at the door, got freaked out when I asked questions. She basically ran out when it was over. The person who initially showed me around said they'd be in touch in a week or two and then just casually mentioned they were considering someone internal. Turns out they hired the internal person. So yeah, they just wanted to say they looked at outside people. What a waste of time and gas.
- How would you handle complaints?
Program Coordinator
So I initially applied without realizing it was a summer position, I thought it was just a contract because someone was out on leave. I didn't respond to their first email asking for my application and program preferences. They called a few times and left messages, but I never responded because I wasn't interested. A month later, I answered the phone and they asked me to do a phone interview. Since the position would start soon, I figured it couldn't hurt. I got an email confirmation, but it didn't list the interviewers' names. It did ask me to look at the program choices and pick my top 5. The phone interview lasted about 45 minutes with two people on the line, one on speaker and one conferenced in. I had trouble hearing the person on speaker. They started by asking about my program preferences. When I named my top choice, they said it was full and quickly listed the available ones. They then asked me to re-state my preferences immediately, without giving me time to review. They also asked if I could relocate for the program or stay on-site for 6-10 days for a local program, which wasn't mentioned before. At the end, I asked about next steps, and they said I needed to submit the application, consent to a background check, and as long as my references checked out, that was it. It was surprising they didn't want an in-person meeting first, especially for someone with my experience with children. The next morning, I got a job offer via email, pending the background check and references. My overall impression is this company is desperate to hire, as they kept pursuing me even after I ignored them and offered me a job without me even sending a thank you note.
- Tell me about your program preferences.
- Can you name your top 5 program preferences?
- Are you able to relocate for the program?
Operations Coordinator
The interview process involved a phone call that lasted between 30 minutes and an hour. The interviewer was very upbeat and happy, which I enjoyed. They asked the typical questions, like about my previous work experiences, why I'm interested in Envision, and about any weaknesses I might have.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experiences?
- What makes you want to work for Envision?
- What are your weaknesses?
