The process was transparent. There were an initial and second round to talk about the offer and benefits. The first interview had mid and senior level people and my direct supervisor. The interview questions were unique and really tailored to the responsibilities of the role, with no jargon.

The interviewers asked basic questions and seemed a bit tired about hiring. They seemed more interested in tricky questions rather than sincerely interested in the professional background of jobseekers and I perceived them as mistrusting applicants. There were no opportunities for advancement described, suggesting that this position may be a dead end. Overall, the interviewers and I did not develop a rapport. To give them the benefit of the doubt, though, it may have been an off day.

The hiring process began with a phone call. After that, I had an in-person interview with my direct supervisor, the regional director, and several other people from HR, corporate admin, accounting, and a technical person who handled office tech. It felt a bit intimidating walking into that many people, but they were all really nice.

I had a really chill chat with the branch leader, but it was still focused and to the point. Then, within a week, the whole senior office crew wanted to chat. That interview was awesome, everyone was super friendly but still professional. They seemed really into their work and the projects they talked about.
