Legal Intern
We had a 30-minute phone chat, it was a pretty relaxed talk where they asked about my past experience, my education, and when I could start. They also explained the project I'd be working on and how the company is set up.
- What is your Arabic language proficiency level?
Research Intern
The interview process was pretty relaxed. I had a skills assessment that lasted 2 hours, and I could do it whenever was good for me. The questions were about my previous experience, and they were asked by someone who was just starting out, not from HR. This was good because I got to ask them about what it's like to work there day-to-day.
- What prior research experience do you have that would make you suitable for this role?
Software Engineer Intern
There were two interviews in total– one more general one and then the second round is more detailed. Both included behavioral and situational questions. Very relaxed and the interviewers weren't intimidating at all.
- Describe a situation where you encountered a problem with a teammate and explain how you successfully resolved it.
Legal
The interview was great, the staff seemed really passionate about their work at ELI. I left the interview with a much stronger interest in the organization than when I started. The discussion went on for about an hour, which was understandable given how much there was to cover. There were no unexpected or difficult questions, just a conversation about my application, background, and interest in the organization.
- Which specific areas or programs are you interested in?
- Could you share what events or experiences led you to apply for this interview with us?
