Intern
Applied online in February and didn't hear back until April for the first round of interviews. The startup said the delay was due to thousands of applications. Applied to schedule an interview through an online forum for second round candidates, and an editor was supposed to reach out. After a week, I hadn't heard back, so I reached out to the person who sent me the link. Another week passed. Two weeks after I reached out, I got an invitation to schedule a phone interview. The interviewer had to step away to do something for their manager mid-call, so I was put on hold. The interviewer said I'd hear back in one to two weeks about an offer. Never heard back. Overall, the company seemed unprofessional, and I didn't want to follow up again.
- Could you share three things you feel grateful for?
Intern
I did it through Skype and the boss was very professional. She asked very basic interview questions and wasn't intimidating, which I appreciated. Then she said she'd contact me after a couple weeks, which she did. The process was fairly quick.
- Can you tell me about your writing style?
Intern
It was a good interview, the interviewer was nice and helpful. The questions were basic and general, not technical or out of the blue. She answered all my questions at the end. There was a long wait after the interview.
- Tell me about 3 people you admire.
