First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Enthalpy Analytical.
Lab Technician
I went through a three-part process. It started with a phone screening with HR, who was nice. However, after agreeing on a time with the lab manager, they rescheduled without informing me, and I missed the interview. I then interviewed with the lab director, who was arrogant and belittled my experience and knowledge, even speaking negatively about an employee. It seems they expect perfection without training and any mistake would be a major issue. The lab manager interview itself was okay; they were direct and answered my questions. I was told I'd hear back in 1-2 weeks, but it's been silent since the last call. They've reposted the job multiple times, so I wouldn't recommend wasting time on this company.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- When could you start?
- What are your career goals related to this role?
Technician
The interview was pretty chill, not scary at all. They mentioned some stuff that management doesn't actually do. They said it's a job where you work with a team but also on your own. If someone on the team isn't doing what they're supposed to, it won't be accepted. But then they admitted there are people who don't do their job or help the team, and management says it's their last chance, but these people keep getting more chances.
- Can you walk me through the skills you've listed on your resume?
- Let's go over each skill on your resume and discuss it.
Laboratory Technician
It was a panel interview, and they asked general interview questions, along with some specific ones related to environmental labs. They also threw in some situational questions about hypothetical scenarios (if/when). It's important to know about QC/QA, and this company really likes it if you have experience with LIMS.
- How do you maintain quality control?
- What is your approach to ensuring QC?
- Tell me about your understanding of QC/QA.
