There were 3 interviews, all behavioral and similar questions, where they wanted to see you utilize the STAR method. 1. Intro interview with an HR person. 2. Interview with 2 supervisor level accountants in person. 3. Interview with business manager and controller in person. They want to see your personality and the things that are “unteachable”. They coach you after each interview if you ask.

I had an in-person interview at the Irving office. The manager and supervisor were both there. The interview was mostly behavioral questions, asking about past situations. They usually asked me to use the STAR method. Topics included teamwork, conflict resolution, meeting deadlines, handling pressure, and communication. There were also a few hypothetical questions about how I would handle future situations to check my problem-solving, critical thinking, and how I align with company values.

A recruiter reached out and did a phone screening. Then I was set up for a video interview with an HR manager for the tristate area. The recruiter and HR manager were nice, but it was annoying that the earliest I could schedule the video call was 2 1/2 weeks later because they were so booked. Their job description didn't have many requirements besides a degree in accounting/finance, which probably caused a lot of applicants. This made it seem like they interview everyone, which I didn't like because it made the screening process pointless. At the end of the call, the HR person said she wanted me to come in, but hours before my second round interview, they emailed saying they changed their minds.
