So first, I had to do this long questionnaire that was super specific to the industry before I could even schedule the first call. It took ages to fill out professionally. The timer actually ran out while I was writing, but luckily I had saved my answers elsewhere so I didn't have to do that whole essay again. Then, a recruiter called me, and it was clear they were just reading from a script because they didn't really know the content and just kept saying "awesome" or "great" to my responses. After that, I was surprisingly invited to a virtual panel with some directors. It felt pretty casual, but not everyone was paying attention, looked like they were multitasking or traveling. I did my best with research, but I still wasn't totally clear on their healthcare business model, so the first 10 minutes of the 30-minute chat was them explaining it and their growth plans for 2026. Two of the directors were into it, but the hiring manager seemed pretty checked out and not really interested in my background.

I had a 15-minute phone screening scheduled. The interviewer was over 10 minutes late. They asked me a few questions about the job, but didn't really engage with my answers, just silence after each one. It felt like talking to a bot. The whole call was only about 3 minutes and then it just ended suddenly. I didn't hear back, which is fine because that experience wasn't great.

The hiring process was pretty straightforward and everything was handled nicely. First, there was a quick screening call with someone from HR, which was friendly and gave me a good overview. Then, the very next day, I had a follow-up interview on Microsoft Teams with two of the supervisors. It was a chill, professional chat, and I didn't feel any pressure at all. Overall, the whole experience gave me a really good vibe about the team and the company's work environment. Looking forward to joining in September.

Overall good until 3rd round with an interviewer who started yelling due to some feedback on a system design interview. First round general chatbot system diagram. Second round AI/LL-related knowledge. Third round, non-AI related ML questions straight from chatgpt (I'd brush up on these, I didn't because I thought it was a coding interview), and a detailed system design interview where the interviewer was hard to understand and not very good at describing since English wasn't their first language.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you design a healthcare chatbot, considering the data types and using ML/NER for classification before LLM processing to cut costs? Also, detail the use of nltk for chunking and the importance of intent definition and data requirements for the LLM.
  • Design a healthcare chatbot. You should ask them the kind of data you'll be working with and use ML/NER to classify before you process with the LLM to save cost. You need to use nltk for chunking. The focus here is on defining intent before things are processed by the LLM and the kind of data you need to process.
